THE IDEA BEHIND THE CAFE

Built around care.
Run with clarity.

A family brand, an everyday menu and thoughtfully chosen tools. The ideas behind Yasmin’s, and how we plan to put them into practice.

Mom sets the tone. The food brings you back. A well-run cafe has to deliver that care and consistency, every day.

BUSINESS CONCEPT · NOT YET OPERATING

WHAT COULD SET YASMIN’S APART

A few strong ideas.
Working together.

01 / A REAL FAMILY AT THE CENTER

Meet the mom
behind the name.

Yasmin’s recipes, our family story and simple cooking videos introduce the people behind the food. The food and service have to live up to that personal connection.

02 / EASY TO UNDERSTAND

Pakistani flavor.
Everyday formats.

Bagels, bowls, wraps, salads and sandwiches make the first visit approachable. Plain descriptions explain the names, fillings and sauces.

03 / MORE THAN ONE OCCASION

A morning stop.
A lunch habit.

Coffee and breakfast, a customizable lunch, then chai and cake rusks. Several reasons to visit, built around a shared kitchen.

04 / A CUP YOU CAN MAKE YOURS

Proper chai.
A personal finish.

House recipes first, with tested choices for milk, sweetness, spices and foam. Iced Cardamom Cloud is one signature idea in development.

05 / A REASON TO COME BACK

Keep the favorites.
Rotate one special.

A weekly special, a guest bagel or a local collaboration can add interest. A small test keeps new ideas manageable.

06 / SOMETHING TO TAKE HOME

A little more
to take home.

A cake rusk pack with your drink. A gift for someone else. Future merchandise and packaged foods add options once the core cafe works.

AN EXISTING BASE TO BUILD ON

New cafe.
Years of experience behind it.

The existing Gold & Meyer’s businesses and industrial kitchen are part of the plan for Yasmin’s. They give us a starting point for shared resources and practical operating knowledge.

01 / BUY TOGETHER

More volume.
Shared essentials.

Combine suitable purchases across the businesses, from everyday ingredients to packaging. Compare supplier quotes and delivery costs to find real savings.

02 / PREP TOGETHER

A kitchen behind
the cafe.

Use the industrial kitchen for suitable batch prep, recipe trials and future packaged products. Keep finishing, assembly and hospitality close to the guest.

03 / USE WHAT EXISTS

Make the most
of what’s there.

Plan around available kitchen and storage capacity before buying duplicate equipment. Schedule Yasmin’s production around the existing businesses.

04 / LEARN FROM THE STORES

Experience you
can build on.

Bring lessons from the existing bagel businesses into morning service, purchasing, prep routines and team training.

05 / KEEP THE CAFE FOCUSED

Less repeated prep.
More guest time.

Moving suitable preparation to the shared kitchen could let the cafe team focus on drinks, final assembly, order accuracy and a warm welcome.

06 / PLAN FOR THE NEXT STORE

A common recipe.
A repeatable system.

Document batches, portions and supply routines from the start. A proven shared prep model could support future locations as demand grows.

MEASURE THE WHOLE COST

Shared resources still use labor, space and transport. The pilot will compare those costs and available capacity before counting any savings.

THE TECH PLAN

A small team.
Well set up.

Tools to simplify everyday admin, organize orders and help the team manage a busy service.

THE TOOLTHE JOB IT SHOULD DOSTATUS

Let guests build a meal, choose a pickup time and pay before arrival. Control order flow around real kitchen capacity.

Recipe & stock records

Keep portion sizes, ingredient costs and stock counts in one shared system. Record waste and sold-out items.

Planned

Optional rewards

Recognize returning guests with optional rewards. Keep marketing choices separate from order updates.

Demo only

The app previews the menu builder and a possible pickup experience. It is not connected to payments, a kitchen system, live inventory or a customer database.

HOW THE STORE COULD STAY EFFICIENT

One prep system.
More ways to serve.

Shared ingredients.

Use the same proteins, toppings and sauces across lunch formats. Choose breakfast items and specials that make sensible use of the pantry.

Clear stations.

Separate drink making, food assembly and pickup. Train people across tasks, with coverage matched to the actual rush.

Measured recipes.

Write down batch sizes, portions and assembly steps. A new team member should be able to make the same item consistently.

THE STAFFING PRINCIPLE

A small team with the right tools, training and coverage. Staffing levels come from timed service trials and real demand.

THE LONGER-TERM GOAL

Start with one good store.
Build something repeatable.

Franchising is a future ambition. First, the cafe needs to show repeat demand, sound store economics and consistent service under a trained manager.

A second controlled location would test whether the recipes, suppliers, training and operating playbook work with another team. Expansion comes after that proof.

Yasmin’s is not currently offering franchises.

WHAT HAS TO BE PROVEN

Good ideas need
real numbers.

We’ll use the first store’s results to understand what works and what needs to improve.

Do guests return?

Repeat visits, feedback and sales after the initial attention fades.

Does each sale cover its costs?

What remains after ingredients, packaging, fees and the work needed to serve it.

Can the team keep up?

Order times, accuracy, staff workload and food quality during the rush.

Can the cafe sustain itself?

Results after labor, rent, utilities, waste and a realistic wage for owner work.
